　　　　Our hospital is a specialized facility for patients with epilepsy, intractable neurological diseases, dementia, and severe physical and mental disabilities. As an epilepsy center, we celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2025. We have the largest number of epilepsy specialists in Japan and treat more patients than any other hospital in the country. In addition to providing accurate diagnoses and treatments, we offer comprehensive, multidisciplinary assessments and support through a team of highly specialized nurses, psychologists, rehabilitation staff, social workers, and others. While we serve patients from across the country, as a designated Epilepsy Support Hub Hospital in Shizuoka Prefecture, we also place a strong emphasis on regional healthcare. In the field of intractable neurological diseases and dementia, we provide comprehensive care in collaboration with local medical institutions and home-visit nursing stations, and we are designated as the Shizuoka City Dementia Medical Center. We also actively incorporate the latest rehabilitation technologies, such as the HAL robotic suit, and strive to improve the quality of life for individuals with intractable neurological diseases. For patients with severe physical and intellectual disabilities, in addition to specialized residential care, we also offer short-term residential stays. As a specialized hospital, we are committed to providing the best possible treatment and care for patients with epilepsy, intractable neurological diseases, dementia, and severe physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as their families.
